Selecting a Pre-Designed Template

Click on "Add a Basic Template".

Add a Basic Template

You will be taken to a new page giving you the option to either: "Create a Template" or, "Import A Template"

Click on "Import A Template".

Import a Template

You will now see a list of pre-designed templates. The left column lists pre-designed basic templates which means you are able to further edit this template using the Template Creation Wizard. The right column lists pre-designed advanced templates which means that these templates can only be edited in the advanced mode (knowledge of HTML and CSS is advisable for the advanced mode).

You are able to preview each design by clicking on the "Preview" option. Once you have selected a design you want to use simply click on the "Add" option for that design. This will now allow you to select this template to use for any of your blog pages. To do this, simply click on "Pages" to get a listing of your blog pages. Click on "Edit" for the blog page you wish to edit. You will be given the option to select a template design from a drop down menu. This menu will show the templates you have selected from the pre-designed templates as well as any templates you have created yourself.

Why do I have to select a template and then assign it to a blog page?
When you select a template, or create a new template, you basically add that template to your list of template options. This then allows you to assign any template to any blog page. You can have different templates for each blog page, or the same template for each blog page. This also allows you to change your template for a blog page as often as you'd like. Just select a new template from your drop down list, and voila. You don't have to go back to "Import A Template" and selecting one from a long list. Instead, you have a shortcut to all your favourite templates!
