Editing, Adding and Deleting Galleries

What are Galleries? Galleries are used to organize your photographs/entries. For example, your photos of flowers may go in a gallery you have created called Nature, or perhaps your photos from a recent trip will go in a gallery called: Travels 2005.

You can edit, add or delete any of the galleries at any time. To get to the Gallery manager, follow these steps:

  • Click 'PAGES' under 'MAIN MENU'.
  • Click on the name of your blog in Manage Blog Pages.
  • Click on 'Galleries'.

Editing your galleries

By default the system creates some default galleries for you. You can edit and delete these at any time (it's just something to get you started). The default galleries are: Black and White, Color, Nature, People and Places.

Adding a Gallery:

Click on "Add" at the top of the page. Now, name your new gallery whatever you wish and click "Add".

You will now see your new gallery in the list of galleries organized alphabetically. There is no limit to the number of galleries you can create to organize your photographs.

Quick note:
It is often a good idea to create a "catchall" gallery (ie: All) to place all your photographs in - as well as any other galleries it may apply to. This will mean that you will have one gallery that will list all your photographs - not just photographs organized by specific gallery or by date. It's a nice way to have a comprehensive gallery.

Editing a Gallery:

To edit a gallery (rename it for instance) simply click on "Edit" under Options next to the gallery you wish to edit. Make your edit and then click "Update" to save the changes.

Deleting a Gallery:

Click on "Delete" next to the gallery you wish to remove. You will be asked to confirm the deletion and click "Delete" to confirm.
